New to RX7 a few questions

Hi. Im new to rx7s and have a few questions.

What exactly are pineapple sleeves? And is there and diy writeups?

Im going to be doing a rebuild. Any suggestion for things to do while i have it apart. I've read about removing the warm up idle thing, not to sure exactly what is involved.

Anyways just general pointers or directions to stuff i can read up on.

Oh by the way ill be working on a 87 gx (canadain) 5 spd.

Thanks.

Do a search for the sleeves, they're discussed every now & then.

The rebuild can be done with a bare minimum rebuild kit, or an all-out new engine practically, it's your choice.

Just by searching, and reading the forum, all of your questions will be answered. Remember that almost any question you could possibly ask has been asked at least 20 times, lol...

If you're rebuilding the engine, you'll probably want one of these http://www.speedmachineperformance.c...il?v=1&pid=437 or you can shim the oil bypass pellet with washers.

Take a look at the Canadian sub-section forum in the regional section.
