new rx7 enthusiast, with some questions

i have been reading posts, and im confused about a few things that ive read around the site.

1. this one is killing me, the weight. my car lists gross weight at 3670~ i have seen many times on the site, claims of these cars being light at 2600-2800 lbs even as low as 2250 lbs?

2. revving? many people have stated the cars are high revving, and i had heard this before i perchased the car as well. i owned a 1987 acura integra prior to this car, and revved it continually to 7600 rpm. when i drove my rx-7, for the one day it ran, whenever i got near the 6500 mark, a buzzer would come on, scared the bejesus outta me the first time!

clearly model and year differences would affect these, and cutting or lightweightening(??SP??) but i cant see 1000- 1300lbs difference. any help is appreciated in clearing these up

thanks

3670 I think is the maximum weight you can carry or load on the car. FC's range from roughly 2600-2800lbs.

The buzzer is a reminder to upshift. I think theres a way to remove the sound but try to run a search.

unless ou have an 800 lb passenger your weight won't be that high.
Yeah, our cars have a redline buzzer. It's supposed to come on at 7000, so either your buzzer is wrong, or the tach is wrong. My car red's at 8k, and many people I know rev to 8500 (fuel cut).
BTW why isn't it running now?

Dont mind the buzzer. Just think of it as...as...as the sound a female makes when you hit the right spot.
