Ok so I just bought a 1991 rx-7...beautiful car and I love it however yesterday I was cruising and my engine light came on...sooo I pulled off into a parking lot to see what the heck was going on....Everything was fine my oil pressure was good, I wasn't overheating and everything else seemed to be working..OooH YAH here was my problem I was cruising and all of a sudden I went to accelerate and I had no power and it was kind of sputtering or shaking hard to explain and I couldnt get any revs.. So I shut it off and turned it on again and it ran fine....So to me that was weird and it ran great all the way home(which probably wasnt wise) So if anyone can help me that would be great. Was one of my sensors dirty? and it was quite muggy out yesterday muggiest I have ever seen. I could barely breath lol this really stumped me as It has ran fine since I got it(about a week ago) but yesterday it was cold in the morning and REALLY muggy..does this have anything to with it or am I just parnoid? Anyways thanks for the highly anticipated feedback!

It sounds to me like you probably had a spark plug wire arcing. Try this. Remove and examine all the plug wires. If they're OK then plug them all back up and try to route them such that none of them touch each other. If the wires are old and worn/cracked then just replace them. Get a good set of 8mm wires. I use ones from Mazdatrix and they work just fine.
