Has anybody heard recently how the mazda is doing for rx-8 sales?
Any leaks or concepts about them at all?
I personally wasn't too big on the rx-8 (waiting for the turbo 400hp model heh) but what im really waiting for is news of a new rx7.....

last I checked at my bro's dealership they still had 15 rx8's on the lot, so i don't know how well they are selling.

I don't have any numbers, but I see more RX-8's around here driving that I see just about any other new car, with the possible exception of the Eclipse.

Of course, the only reason I'd want a new RX-7 to come out would be to drop the price of the 3rd gens to a more reasonable level.

another reason that there are so many RX-8's on that lot is that its winter. Who would want to buy a new car and park it until the spring

Since I sell Mazdas for a living I may be qualified to answer your question on the RX8s. They have been selling very well so far. I expect sales to get even better once spring and summer are here. I am keeping my eyes open for any news on a new RX7 and so far there are just vague rumors. I have seen a pic of the MazdaSpeed RX8 though and it is Hot, can't wait to drive one when it hits the dealership.

I have heard rumors of a possible early release 2005 model in limited numbers and then a full 2006 model run.....

but that was just rumors in a road and track or some other import mag I read a while back (like Sept or Oct.)
