if noone ever answered your question as to where to get those mods, and the kind of exhaust that's good for the rx, and the headers and such, go to racingbeat.com. that should be one of your new favorite sites... besides RX7CLUB.COM!!!! welcome, and good luck with the rotors.

if you want 2oo the cheap way, this is what i did, first let ne say i didnt need the car to drive daily, header from mazdatrix, walbro 255 big diff. i 3rd gear, remove air pump, block off secoundaries, zip tie them open, install lsd, stickey tires, 85 shot direct port wet kit,one nozzel in each intake runner, 85 shot works well on stock port, no overlap you can even go bigger! ran this setup over a year with no problems. good gas a must, colder plugs,i went from 15.1 to 13.4 all at one time, was a fun toy.

thanks. i got a question about the ports what are they and howdo they operate. i know that there is a inatke and exhaust port. but i thought that they where open like a two stoke. is the second port a intake port that opens later or under hard accel like the bigger barrels on a four barrel carb? and i don't have the car at my house yet. so is a 87 n/a carbed TBI or MPI???

Just to comment on the cavaliers exhaust, be careful if yo put them on the 7. I've heard many Rx-7 mufflers have to be specially made because the 7 will melt most, so be carefull as to what they can endure. Racingbeat's mufflers were specially made to hand;e the 7 and they even have little rotors stamped on them to show that they are the rotor mufflers.

LMAO

yes yes they do have rotors stamped on them...

Just don't buy anything for the exhaust that has fiberglass in it like glass packs or cheapo mufflers...you don't have to buy "rotary specific" exhaust like the wallet raping apexi stuff...
