Read the FAQ, first, for general information.
You'll want to do a full tune-up, most likely. After that, suspension components tend to be rotted out, as well as fuel components (basically, most of the rubber.)
What's the model? GXL, Base, Sport? The FAQ should give you info on how to figure out what model you have.

Im guessing GXL. Its N/A 5 speed, goldish bronze exterior with burgundy interior. Sunroof. Just bought it today, really looking forward to driving it some more. Took it up to the gas station to fill it up with premium. Really impressed me... when i hit second gear it squated and just kept pulling. Should be a fun project car.

Oh yeah, how do these rotaries accept spray?

There were no turbos in the US for the '86.
Spray is a so-so proposition. Rotary engines are highly damaged by detonation. Turbos are the most reliable way of making power and can support 400 hp with stock internals or up to 600+ hp with porting.
Most turbos around here seem to get to about 300 as the goal.
What's your goal with this car? Is it your daily? How's your budget?

well i have a 67 f-100, a 86 mustang and a 80 buick century. The truck is a stroked 351 with blower, building a 302 with spray for the 86 mustang and the 80 century is my putt around car. I come across this rotary and jumped on it. Figure its something i can tool around with, learn more about imported vehicles and heard they are very fun to drive. My goal is basically a fairly fast daily driveable rx-7. It's N/A...how bad is the turbo conversion?

As for the turbo conversion, it's quite a bit of money. If you're not attached to your car (like I am), it'd be best to sell it and buy a TII. That would be cheaper/easier than swapping in a 13BT into your GXL.
However, if you're in the same boat as me and love you car, it is possible.
