You should have kept the pink irons. Everyone has black irons...

Why the "turbo fuel system"? With the Microtech, the NA injectors are going to be enough fuel for a street ported NA.

Stock only runs around 60% under load.........and its rich in most areas. So with a SP I'd imagine that at an ideal AFR you'd be around the 60-65% range.

Edit:

You're polishing that hood? F***ing awesome

You wont be able to really feel a difference. Most people just use them when they need a new e-shaft since the RX8 shaft is much cheaper than an rx7 e-shaft. But if you have the extra $200 I guess go ahead

wouldnt we need to re-balance the rotors if we put a lighter rx8 e-shaft on a T2 ??

Do you ever have to balance the rotors anyway? I mean, I could see reasons for doing it, mostly just to be sure they won't rock the motor or wear hard on bearings, but I wonder if it's actually necessary (during use do the rotors really lose/gain significant weight?).

from what i understand the e shaft is so close to the center of gravity that you dont need to reballence anything.
and as far as the hood goes yeah i havent seen any polished hoods so if you've seen one done befor let me know so i can know if its worth it

hmm only 200 for a lighter eshaft i think that i might have to wait another month on the rebuild and buy me one of those. still debating on the higher comp rotors for my TII though. not trying to steal the thread. nice build. i would of liked to see the purple housings though it looked pretty good.

What about mileage difference with the lighter e-shaft? Even notable?

Wouldnt count on it. Since its in the center of the rotation. Be like putting a 1lb lighter hub on your bicycles wheels... wouldnt feel it at all.

Nice hood SirCygnus, you could brush your teeth and work on the car at the same time! What kind of polish did you use? Did you polish the underside or just top?

But if it's cheaper and I ever have to buy another e shaft I guess I'll go with a Renesis shaft.

I've been curious about the Renesis rotors, they're lighter right? Has anyone used them in a 13B with significant turbo boost? I want to know how sturdy they are.

i dont think they are better for turbos because of their compression but they are better for na because they are balenced bettter. something to do with the way they were poured and milled from the factory. and also from what i read so far about them they reqire a little milling to get them to fit in 13b housings.

Im not up to date on RX8 stuff. I think they are higher comp than regular 13B n/a rotors. I think they are also lighter. Not sure if boosting them would be smart or not. Comp is probably too high and youd be limited to low boost or a lot of fun tuning sessions to keep from detonating unless you took precautions.
