The new pics of my car as promised

O.K. I hope this works. Here are some pics of my car infront of work shortly after sunrise today. Like I said before, the car has been freshly painted. There are some minor mods installed already (short shifter & a few other goodies). the street/strip clutch and flywheel go in next month. in January I'll put in the high flow cat and the RB cat back. Please let me know what you think so far...

Looks very nice. How much did it cost you??? I had the local body shop fix my right fender and paint my 7 black all for $600. it took them 1 1/2 weeks though.

It was around $1200 U.S. I had to haggle the guys down quite a bit and I think they cut a few corners because of it. I'm not real happy with the clear coat finish. But I will do.

looks brand new! nice ride. did you think about getting the rub strips painted red also, like a S5? in my opinion they make the cars look less 80's

I think that car looks great, but lowering springs, would make it look a lot better

Thought about painting the rub strips, but decided against it. Reason being I wasn't sure how well the paint would adhere to the strips, pluss any dings on the strips would look ugly through the paint. I considered getting the S-5 strips from MAZDATRIX but wasn't sure if they would match the paint code for the cars color now. Also, if I painted the strips, I would have to get the S-5 tail lights, body trimmings etc. So I left them alone. Less crazyness for me.

Hmmmm. I thought about it. Racing Beat has a spring and sway bar kit that looks interresting. I think I'll finish my other mods first, then bullet-proof the tranny before I go to suspension. The one it has is "good enough" for now.
