Cool New owner of a '90 FC3S!

DAMN I'm happy! they're holding it on the lot for me for 16 days while i get the rest of the cash together... but i've got a Blue '90 sitting out there for me. 111k, 1 owner, stock. Cons: No A/C charge (grr), broken off Power Mirror switch, small dent on driver's door, Radio = flaky piece of turd. "Old granny" driven for it's life, except in the last 2 years, it went 50k kilometers.

total cost, with tax, CAD? 8k.

...

/me creams his pants

Congradulations man!

but damn, isn't $8k alot, even if it is CDN?

And granny driven isn't exactly a good thing. Carbon builds up in rotaries when not driven hard like once a week...

Good luck tho'! Is it the same blue as mine (down below)?

dre_2ooo: bit darker. but then again, it was right next to a construction project at the intersection... oh yea! pics!

and it was driven 50k the last 2 years. hard. I checked the 5-6 ports for stickyness, and they were really loose on high RPM. tailpipe was a nice healthy brown, no black/blue deposits... so far, i think it's a great deal.

and 8k CAD for that is pretty sweet. divide by 1.63 and you've got 4.9k US (with our **** exchange rates )

they did a full check on it (ICBC, Carfax, drove it to inspection) and it came out clean. ICBC said "no history" so they're gonna go look at that some more.

Hey Dude thats nice in all that you want to get a 2nd gen, but 8k is alot of money for a 90rx7 with 111k. I would hate to see you buy that for 8k and 20,000 miles later or so the motor dies on you, s5 are very unpredictable as far as longetivity goes. in my own oppion.

Yeah, that's the other blue.

Looks like it has aftermarkey plug wires too.

Make sure to observe the OMP daily to make sure it is in fact pumping oil in ther (S5 has a very unreliable OMP). Also, keep a small fire extinguisher in the car in case of PD failure .

4,900 US? I paid $3500 US for mine w/108k miles. Damn.

If you want you can run premix (run a search of my screen name and premix to find out more). That way the engine will get lube for sure. Other than that, N/A's are pretty reliable, expect 160+ miles (??? KM) out of it. have lots of fun too.. AUTOCROSS .

Oh yeah, NEVER EVER go above 3200 RPMs on a cold engine .. don't ask why ( )...
