New owner!
I'm the proud owner of my first RX-7.
It's a 1988 convertible 10th Anniversary.
She was basically built from the ground up after being stolen and completely stripped in the Seattle area.
It has a nice Tubro-II under the hood as well as a few other goodies.
I have a couple questions.
First of all, what is the story on these Anniversary models? How many were coupes vs. convertibles, or is mine just dolled up to replicate one?
Also, I really want to swap out the white wheels and 16" tires for some nice 5-spoke 17"s and tires. Is this sacreligious?
Anyway, I look forward to the forum and any input you guys have.
Thanks in advance,
Lindsey.

I like the white wheels on white body. But those wheels are heavy. Go with some white 7spoke 17" rims. That'd look SWEET!
I suppose that the previous owner decided that, since it's a white '88, it's an anniversary ed.

Thanks for the input.
Here's a shot of the post hijacking, pre rebuild.
The guy that did it owned a rotary shop and spent a few years fixing it up for his wife.
It changed hands to a guy 3 miles from my house.
Lucky me!

Former Moderator. RIP Icemark.
Yep, no such thing as a 10thAE convertible. The 10thAE was only a limited edition Turbo coupe
Those are not 10thAE wheels, those are '87 Turbo wheels painted to look like 10thAE wheels.
10thAE wheels only had 7 spokes

Thanks for the info.
I don't like the wheels either and have a couple sets I'm deciding between.
My last fun car was a 65 Porsche 356 that almost put me in the poor house.
I didn't really care about authenticity, just wanted to have fun. (All the way to the bank).
Had a few Lexi, Porsches, Acuras and a 92 MR2.
This one is by far the most fun.
