new motor

hello i recently blew the motor in my 87 turbo II i just want to get a rough estimate as to how much it will cost to get a new motor and installation thanx

2000-5000 easy parts and labor.

most rotary mechanics charge 85 buckeroonies an hour.

And a rebuild is easily 20 or so hours.

This of course does not take into account anything you mean by: Blown.

You can actaully shoot apex seals into the housings. Then you need a new housing = 400 bucks for example.

How did you assertain that the motor was "blown"?
Make sure its not something stupid like an alternator that you'll wind up paying tons of money for.

A friend of mine bought a saab once.

He "thought" the motor was blown. And he had the engine completely rebuilt upon his Napoleon Bonaparte' assumption.

Turns out he was really just out of gas.

Most expensive tank of gas he ever bought.

But if the motor is "blown", What I would do is buy a new/rebuilt motor and have it shipped to you.... then have it installed by your local mechanic.

Mr.Landers can help you with that. IE rotaryressurection.
