New Intake = High Idle

Oh, just put on a custom CAI and the car Idles high. The TPS is perfect, sits at 1K Ohms ( 2-3 Ohm "sway" ) It Idles at 1500 after the cold-start warmup. I've searched a little, but need quick answers ( My friend has to get home soon ) I heard something about "If the TPS is correct, you have to adjust the idle with the BAC" Any write-ups for a Series 5 N/A? Thanks a LOT, but PLEASE HURRY GURU'S!!!

What kind of filter are you using? Maybe your filter allow too much air for the computer to adjust? Doubt it though...

Have you double checked to see if there is any leak in the coupling. Did you take anything else apart?

The idle should drop down to at the most 1k. Drive a little bit to see if the computer adjusts down. Maybe some sensor isn't working. Any engine codes?

Talking

You have a vacuum leak, or there is something amiss with the AFM.

Vacuum leak. Look for any hoses you forgot to hook back up.

Ok, we disconnected from the black elbow forward. It goes like this.

Black Elbow ~> 3 Inch coupling w/ the 2 vacuum lines in it ~> AFM ~> 2 Inch/3 Inch Coupling ~> Peice of PVC ~> Cone air filter. The Air Pump has a small air filter on it.

After adjusting a little, the car no longer does the hesitation. And the idle is at 700 (BTW You CAN safely adjust the **** on top of the TB, right?)

UPDATE: Now, after getting it all together, it started running, but when we turned it off, and tried to start it again, no go. Could the Starter be too hot? This is a little more urgent than the Idle.
