New hatch fabrication or replacement
I am building my project 87. I need to know if they make a plexiglass replacement for the rear hatch.....mainly bc i am gonna shorten the hatch and attach a extend the lip of the car where it meets the hatch to install an aluminum spoiler. i know ricey but it's gonna be a show car and i need it to be different. i have skyline tails on the way, b magic wide body front fenders and coming next and finally the demon body kit. any help would be greatly appreciated, or if anybody can fabricate what i need around the central tx area hit me up at rx7delsol@yahoo.com or call 1-254-640-6349. oh yeah one more thing, is 1000 a good price for an 88 with pacesetter headders, 2.5" exhaust, totally custom CAI, fresh blue paint job. but the interior was ripped out to save weight and it has 163k on it. thanks guys

trying to build a racecar
There are people that make Lexan replacement hatches for racing... for about $500.
Or you can call your local plastics distributor and get a sheet of 1/8" polycarbonate for about $60.
Good luck

once you have all that widebody equipment and wings and 70lbs of bondo your under powered NA will be even slower. Forget the slow and show route. At first you will think its cool to have 6k into the body and paint but that will fade fast after everyone and their brother getting a piece of you and owning your ***. Don't be suprised to get beat by moms mini van at the light.

Boy, you sure know how to make an impression. Seriously, show your skills, not how much money you've pissed away on slowing your car down.

Haven't we ALL heard this
Wow, that really isn't a bad price considering the weight reduction and the fact that your reducing weight that is rather high up on the car.
But yeah, that is a race car only item.

well my car isnt exactly slow, street ported motor by alamo rotary, 2.5" racing exhaust, and i made my own CAI.....I simply pulled the black plastic crap from the fender well and ripped my windshield washer fluid resivoir out and that useless air silencer was pulled also, then i drilled a 3.5" hole above it, put my mass air by the intake manifold and hooked up some 3" PVC pipe to a huge foam filter to where the resivoir was....oh yeah i had to cut the top half of my brake duct off to fit the filter. but ne ways my car ran a 15.3 at the track last month....but now it's time to show it off......thanks you guys that actually helped out.
