Hey what's up, name's Robert from NEA, Jonesboro

i got this 88 fc quite awhile back and haven't gotten around to working on it, when i bought it it didn't run.

When i was pushing it backward off the trailer i noticed something was catching on the ground, there was a hardline that was halfway or farther running to the back that was broke and hanging to the ground, i was in a hurry so i bent it up into the engine bay to get it out of the way.

Awhile back i figured i'd try to push start it to get it running, i had a truck push me down my driveway and it kicked over and got down to the end of my lane and it died again, haven't tried since.

My question is what is this line for? in these pics i've outlined the line i'm talking about, it is bent double in the bay right now.

Looks like the split air pipe that feeds air to the cat.

 

That is the pipe that gets the backpressure from your exhaust to open the 5th and 6th ports on the s4 NA.
