NV new guy, old car, no spark

hey guys, my names jason, and im the owner of a "white" 86 glx with a full s5 swap. 89 motor, s5 tails, s5 cluster. i got the car as a gift from a friend of mine, its flooded out, not running, it HAD a 5 lug setup and lsd but my friend had me help him swap it onto his 87 in exchange for the 4 lug before he gave it to me. its been sitting around for the past few years, and im trying to get it running, and so far its turning over, the fuel pump is whirring, but there is a distinct lack of spark. i checked the hall sensor, the coils, nada. no spark and no power running through that particular area of the car. the main fuse got changed out as a just in case, all the old mud caked fuses were swapped with new ones, and still, there isnt any spark. just looking for some input and a couple answers.
1) starting at the battery, what could be holding up the coils from getting spark, and does anyone have suggestions?

2) any suggestions on silt/dirt removal?

3) should i just forget the s5 and swap an s4 motor back into it?

unplug one of the leading spark plugs at the coil. pull the crank angle sensor (or get a spare one and leave the original installed). with the crank angle sensor still plugged into the harness, spin it by hand. do you see spark coming from the coilpack?

Bad plugs? Is it an S4 or S5 ecu? I'm not sure if they're different but I'd assume they are.
