New guy intro...

Just thought I would introduce myself.

I am 23 years old, I live in southern New Hampshire and I am new to the sports car thing. I just had an 87 turbo II given to me and I will be poking around here trying to learn a few things about these cars. Hopefully I will be able to find some info on how to get my car running again.

I know that the motor is tired and probably needs a rebuild, but I don't have the first clue about rotary engines. Also something is preventing the motor from getting fuel, but am not sure what it could be. Supposedly the fuel pump is new. I don't know.

The car is definatly worth throwing some money at, as the chassis is in very good condition.

Thanks alot for the great site.

Welcome to the forum.

There's lots of good info in the threads stickied at the top.
There are also complete sets of the factory manuals on-line.
I have a copy at the link in my sig.
Download & print whatever you need.

before you ask though search. the best way to learn on here is to read up on everything you can first so you have a general idea of what a rotary does. also dont trust everything you hear on here. just because somebody says something doesnt mean its true. you will find that there are some people on here that you can trust what they say. if after you search and read you still cant find the answer or you want more info then ask.... people will much appriciate it and you wont get a bad rep here at this wonderful forum. thats pretty much it. Welcome to the club and you will enjoy being an RX-7 guy.

Thanks for the info guys. The online FSM is great, now I don't HAVE to buy one, though I might still (being a parts counterman I know the value of a book, especially when the computer won't work). I haven't had a chance to check out the FAQ sticky, but I certainly will.

I hope to go pick up my Rx today so I can start diagnosing it and fixing what I already know how to fix. Thanks for the welcoming.
