Hey, i'm a new Rx-7 owner (yay)

Are you asking to buy one from someone, or are you looking to sell yours?

PO kept the original window sticker from the TII when he bought it o__o. Grand total comes to only $20,464.00 plus Inland Freight, so $20,739.00. For a Brand New 1987 TurboII.

Mine was bought 1-05-87, and I have all the original warrenty info, but not the price paid. I do know it was sold for about 7,000 in mid '88. Of course, mine was a true base with only A/C and P/S as options.

As far as I can tell, I'm the 5th owner. Everyone kept up with all records, though.

Just to illustrate how expensive our cars were becoming, you can get an Rx-8 now for $29k.

According to this inflation calculator,

What cost $29000 in 1989 would cost $45203.19 in 2005.
That's about as much as Corvette today. As for my car, an 88 GTU:

What cost $18500 in 1988 would cost $30018.81 in 2005.
That's around the price of an Rx-8 today. All those people bitching that Rx-8s don't compare to T2's, well look at the price difference. I think what happened in the late 80s was that the Japanese yen strengthened majorly and that just made their goods really expensive. Hence Mazda instituted some of those cost cutting measures for the s5, like the sway bar end links.
