Hi, i just bought an 87' turboII on ebay and I am driving form Stillwater Oklahoma to Denver Colorado to pick my car up. I was wondering if you had any suggestions on what i need to do with it before i make the 630mi trip back. Ive never owned a turbo car or a rotary engine car so suggestions on what precautions i should take would be appreciated.

Welcome to the club. Try and make sure that everything is working properly before taking the long trip back. Make sure to bring extra oil and coolant in case of an emergency. Dont get on the gas either until the car is fully warmed up. Good luck.

Hey! I was almost in the same boat as you a month and a half ago. I just purchased an 87 TII also and its my first rotary/turbo car also. I dont know what kind of condition your car was in but I bought mine and drove it home(illegaly....had no real tag or anything on it) ne how. I drove mine home b/c it was only 15 minutes away hehehe.....not your case though. How are you taking it home. Are you Driving it? Towing it? Is someone coming with you.? Well all I could think to take would be an extra spare, jack, battery maybe and definately a cell phone heheheh just in case. Sorry if I didnt help you too much.....Im very new to this forum also. Good luck

im taking off right now to go get it. kind of spontaneouse. Its got new tires so im not expecting much in the way of a flat but i will bring my spare in case. A friend is driving me and im following him back with a temp tag from the dealer so its kinda legal. Check on the fluids. gonna pick up some oil and a book(car bible) tommarrow.
