New front suspension completed. (Before & After pics)
Sweet setup!
What kind of problems did you encounter with drilled rotors? Did they crack/warp/wear quickly/not stop the car? Was this due to track use? do tell...
The brembo blanks are available at the tire rack for $50 each. Not too shabby.

I think those are for the single piston 4 lug cars. I wish they were only $50 each! I would buy two sets just for fun.

For a 1989 Rx7 Turbo (5Lug) they are $53.
For both, Hawk HPS pads are $50.
At least that's what the website says! Try it out. It will ask you to enter your car, and then it gives the prices for components that fit it. They are actually good prices.

Very nice indeed...I was thinking about painting my fender wells also because it just looks nicer (also makes that small wheel gap nearly invisible
, I don't wanna use coilovers on this car just sport springs). Hmmm...I'm loving the "new" control arms too. I've been thinking about *vroom VROOOOM*..."'coming baby", sorry guys my 7 is jealous and thinks I don't spend enough time with her
. Anyway I've been thinking of either painting my control arms or getting new ones (along with pretty much every other steering/suspension part of the car). *VRROOM VRROOOM VROOOOM*, damn...I gotta go.

I did put in my car info and the $53 rotors showed up. But if you look at the pic they are for a 4 lug. And if you scroll down the others all list "for models with vented rear rotors." That's what leads me to believe they are for base models. If they are in fact vented rotors for 4 piston 5 lug hubs from brembo for $53 I will call tomarrow.
And KiyoKix; no need to paint the control arms. They are aluminum and you can just polish them up real nice. Or just scrape them off.

I think you can get the for 5 lug models because if you look at some of the recommended wheels or wheels you chose you'll see that even though you specified a 5 lug car it'll show some 4 lug wheels. Oh yea...I forgot they were aluminum...how much work do you think it would be to make 'em real pretty (not chrome like though...I hate chrome
)
*distant...vroom vrooom*...damn she's awake again.

Yeah, don't pay attention to the picture. I put in a 1996 Ferrari 355, and it showed the exact same picture of a brembo rotor ($214 however!)
The question still remain, what was wrong with the drilled rotors?

My guess is that he had a cracking or warping problem. Drilled rotors while they do look cool were used mainly back in the day to ventilate gases from the pads. Fast forward to the future and they're used mainly for weight savings (yea it's minute...but in racing EVERYTHING counts down to the last gram). They offer good performance though, but I prefer either solid or slotted rotors for performance...not to put down the drilled rotor (like I said they're still good rotors and usually better than stock).

I had 2 sets of cross drilled rotors. The first set that I had cracked. The second set I had, the ones in the pics are so extremely warped I could accually watch my foot shake when I was on the brakes. Maybe im just hard on brakes? Im done screwing with those so I went back to the ones I never had a prolbem with.

man what happened to your suspension for it to bend like that in the first place. It looked really bad, but now they look sweeeeet and it also looks like you did a brake upgrade aswell! way to go on the prject turned out really good!
That's just a loose dust cap - the suspension isn't bent. (at least I don't think it is!) As for the brakes, they're just the stock ones all cleaned up. They look purdy.....
1FastT2: Thanks for the input about the rotors! I have to start shopping for some.
