BC new to FC's

well I just picked up a 88 10AE off a good friend of mine. I'm a fist gen guy. i know my way around T2 motor because I just T2 swapped my 85 GSL.

here is a list of modds to the 10AE

rebuilt 13BT with only 60,000k on the motor
full corksport 3" turbo back exhaust
shot shifter
blitz SS bov
ACV, BAV and rats nest removed
right now its running the stock ECU but it comes with a chipped rtek 1.7 ECU
aftermarket rims (on the car) as well as the stock 10AE rims

the bad
right now it has blue t2 seats
needs a new hood
heater core needs to be replaced

blue t2 seats? really? at least it has seats, lol. seriously, seems like a good one if the body is good too. you have an excuse to get a fg or cf hood and just leave a sweater in the car and don't drive it in the winter!lol. feel free to not answer but may I ask what you paid for this find?

Get a front mount and find an N/A aluminum hood. They're nice and light.

that website is more local to you.You can find Parts in BC!!
..wear a sweater?..he is IN BC!.Try driving when it rains, the car will Fog up!
I would get that Heater core in there. You actually need that to pass the safety anyways, unless you "know a Guy"!
BTW,I have an extra heater core(in Ontario) if you are looking to buy one!

Because alot of the hatches leak a little and they tend to build some condensation. That and a mixture of the heat will def fog your car up.

well I got a big problem....... here we go

well the cluster doesnt work unless the side markers are on. acts like it fuel cuts, the vent controles dont work, the backliker on the cluster only work when the high beams are on and now my fuel pump relay or the wiring is not working. even with the foot to the floor on the clutch it wont go in gear sometimes plus the windows dont go down and the gas door wont open unless you use the manuel reless

You don't have a big problem, you have several small ones.
Tackle them one at a time and it shouldn't be too difficult.

time for a rebuild. still, if the irons and housings and all that are fine then even with the price of a rebuild kit (if doing yourself) you still get a decent price overall for the car. now the question is what is all this trouble to you and what is your time (and downtime) worth to you? hopefully you don't need to replace any major parts in the motor. You can always buy a longblock and swap stuff over too but used blocks are also hit and miss sometimes. good luck, hope to see you fixing her up.
