dad spend who knows how much repairing his its an all out drag car in Outlaw Street think his doors are fiberglass not shure =/

if it was me i would keep the power steering, takin it out will give u minimal gains but thats all they will b. jus get a new bolt

yep if the coolant is blowing out, the exhaust will smell a little sweet. As far as the TII conversion, Im doing the same thing myself. Its not horribly hard, but does run right around $3000. Im getting a Jspec TII and porting it REAL soon. As for the power steering, my bolt busted too. I replaced it with a bolt from a hardware store myself. I ran it a week then my pump blew... So, I am just going to take it out all together.

Don't worry about the diff. The inboard stub that goes into the diff, doesn't see any sideways load. As the wheel goes up and down the halfshaft plunges in and out of the outboard CV. So you might check that joint to make sure it's greased up well.
But the noise you heard is probably u-joints.
