New FC on the memberlist

Hey guys, My name is Seth and I live in the wonderfully boring land of Kansas. However, despite the boredom and excessive wind found here, I managed to find an FC that needed paint and had a "bad transmission" that I grabbed for $1500. Ended up that one of the tranny cooler lines had a bad clamp, so I fixed the problem for about $6. Anyways, leather interior is immaculate, and the interior only has one cracked vent

I took after the article in Sport Compact a while back and bought a boatload of cans of Krylon Semi-Flat black paint, and got rid of the nasty Maaco peeling yellow paint job that was exposing a significant amount of the original white color, and went to town flat-blacking my car.

Anyways, here are the pics. Enjoy, and I look forward to being a part of the forums.

Comments welcome. Criticisms as well. You guys have a great day.

Well I went with the flat because the previous paint was AWFUL, and a spraypainted flat black really does make it look better than before. It was very faded yellow with no clearcoat, and severe peeling; revealing the stock white paint underneath. Anyways, as soon as I can afford it, I plan to paint it one of the Mazda stock blue colors.

seems bit sloppy from the 3rd pic, but guess it's better than yellow and white

Great looking vert. $1500 is a steal. Welcome to the club.

I'm down in Wichita. Thanks for the compliments guys. And believe me, if I had my way, it wouldn't be rattlecanned flat-black. It'd be a REAL paintjob. But, as of now, it does look better than what it did.
