I own a 1991 conv, and wanted to replace the exhaust. I'm looking for something that gives power but does not have that traditional bassy sound to it. I would prefer a sound like that of older mustangs and cameros, any suggestions?

Are you talking about a cammy rumble or the poppy header sound? If you want to rumble, then get a flowmaster or any other chambered muffler. That wouldn't sound too bad... header, flowmaster, dynomax catback. That should be kinda poppy with a rumble and it'd shoot flames.

What would be a good exhaust system if you were looking for the best possible improvement in hp while still remaining legal (emissions)?

Thanks.
