New Engine/Turbo.. no start?????
Brand new street ported Engine, And T04 Turbo.
Here is the deal It turns over, I smell gas when i smell the exhaust, but it is not firing. I checked there is no spark, I removed the rats nest, and YEs i did check the fuel lines are placed correctly. I searched and tried the things that were in the search but none helped me, I can only hear the fuel pump working when I bridge that little plug under the hood and turn the key to the on position. I have plain Ran out of ideas , Yes the spark plug wires are new as are the plugs, and the wires are correctly attached.

Check the CAS. When you install the CAS the notch and dot at the bottom gear needs to stay aligned when you stick it back in. Take the black cap off and keep the pointer from moving. The timing needle on the front cover has to be aligned with the leading mark on the pulley when you stick the CAS in. Attach the connector , pull out the EGI fuse and pull out the plugs. Crank it a couple times to blow out whatever is in the combustion . Install the plugs and it should fire right up.

Yes. Have you confirmed no spark? Pull the plugs out and lay them on the fender (still attached to the wires) and crank the car over. They should spark, if they dont there is something wrong between the CAS and the plugs.

You may have bad coils and ignitors.Try replacing them.
Or you may have loose connections at your coils or somewhere in the wiring.Check all your fuses. Also try to pull the codes from the computer.

Are you sure you getting fuel..the afm works in junction with the fuel pump..check to make sure its working and plugged in? I think you can push the flapper door open on your AFM to and see if you can hear the fuel pump....

well to get my 88TII streetport started I had to pull start it to about 30-40 mph and engage the clutch and mash the gas, ran fine after that, it may have something to do with streetports making it harder for the car to build up sufficent compression, I'm going to be starting up my 2nd rebuild tommorrow, i'll keep you posted, try and crank it many times with the spark plugs out then put them back it, to break the apex seals loose....

I have tried that however it will not start because of the fact that there is no spark, I am certain of it I have hung the spark plugs over the side of the fender all four none of which produced a spark making things extremely difficult to stat the engine i have no idea how come it will not spark
