new engine startup problems
Ok just replaced my 88 n/a gtu engine and it starts up and if its cold will fire up to 3000 rpm and then die. Now thats its warm it starts and if I give it gas I can keep it alive, but it wants to die. I hit the gas, and it takes a few seconds for it to realise im trying to keep it alive. It feels / works a lot better above 4000 rpm, and im happy that it can do so. I dont have the exhaust on it so thats about as high as I can handle right now. :0) But other then that, I checked the hoses, its not flooded any more so it starts fine. ... I think I will try the tps but ... thats from the old engine so im sure its set fine still.
Any other ideas? Its just like it wants to die, it skips and sputters unless Im giving it some gas.
