New engine next week - Part questions before she's gone for a week...

S5 Vert, NA Bone stock

I am taking my car to RP for basically an entire car overhaul (engine and trans in one wack).

I have a few questions on stuff I'd like to do this week before the ole 7 goes in for major surgery, or do after she comes back.

First off, I replaced my radiator 8 months ago and the foam on the original was dry rotted and well....gone. Where and what can I use to replace that stuff? I want all of the air to go through my radiator instead of around it.

Secondly, I was thinking of fabricating a plate to go on the underside of the car, to help aerodynamics. Seems like a strange place to start, but I want the car to LOOK as stock as physically possible, thus a plate underneath would be nye invisible. Is there somewhere I can source something like this? I'd also like to eliminate the parachute effect the rear bumper creates, obviously, without modifying the stock bumper on the outside.

On a less DIY note, I need shocks, bad...

I don't need something fancy, is it just me or all shocks for the car $150+ a piece? I would prefer cheaper, if anyone can point me in a good direction besides ebay. I may just have to suck it up and get expensive shocks. Chime in.

Next...

My stock air tube going from the AFM to the TB is McNasty looking. I have tried scrubbing, and cleaning, and degreasing...even rubber restoration products and it still looks brown and nasty. I'd rather not replace it. I thought of just tossing it in the dishwasher, obviously without the drying cycle :p

Chime in, and feedback is greatly appreciated.

Well, I'll DIY or purchase, whichever is more cost effective

More than likely it'll be DIY though.

Alright, so any suggestions on foam replacement for the radiator? I'd go to home depot and just grab something, but I want to make sure it isn't going to melt.
