new engine, idles at 3000rpm?
i just reuilt my engine and started it for the first time and it jumped to 3000 rpm and for a few seconds then died. i thought maybe it was the tps so i put a different one on and it will stay idling at 3000 rpm and not die now, but i still can't get it to drop. It's a s5 na motor with a large street port from pineapple racing. I also took out the aux. ports. I have no idea what could be wrong, or out of adj.
i am not quite sure if the timing is exactly correct, but it runs and moving the cas while its running does not help any, it makes it die actually. some one suggested i may have my primary and secondary inj. wires backwards, but i don't want to mess around with them just yet. any suggestions as to what i should check? thanks!

Check the throttle cable, make sure the mounting nut is tight(right by the TB), make sure there are no borken parts in the plastic shielding on the cable. Ive had the exact same problem....minus the rebuild part.
the throttle cable is lose enough so the butterflies are closed all the way and threre is a little slack in the cable itself. i switched the primary and secondary injectors around last night and it ran exactly the same! i think switching them around would have made a difference. i don't have any idea whats wrong with it.
