new dash beep after rebuild

finally! i got my new s4 turbo running after way too long.no major issues, just this solid beep that goes full time when the engine is running. the coolant is full and bled, and the oil level sensor is disconnected (aluminum oil pan). the beep goes off when i pull the power steering fuse. can anyone help?

If it is a beep and not a buzzer, Beeps are covered in the FAQ for FC sticky thread found at the top of this section

yeah i looked there before i posted, and in the archives and the fsm. its not a beep pause combination, and its not a buzzer like when you hit redline. its a solid beep that wont turn off, no pauses. i did fix some problems from the faq section, but i couldnt find this one.

For a buzzers (not beeps) you have low oil, low coolant (coolant level sensor on the top of the radiator not touching coolant) or you have over rev (which would be from the tach in the guage cluster.

For beeps you have either the series beep (as covered in the FAQ for FC) or you have the CPU beeping for Key in the ignition and doors open or lights on and door open, or seat belt not on and the key on.

So is the CPU beeping or the power steering computer?

I would say if you pull the power steering fuse and the beep stops, they maybe you have a short or a ground in the wiring?
