Thumbs down new clutch master, but cant pressurize system?

my hydraulics on my clutch went bad, so i couldnt change gears. i rebuilt the slave and replaced the seal, and i got a new master. but now, i cant get the clutch to work properly. ive gone through 2 quarts of fluid trying to get them pressurized. the pedal just hits the floor and stays down. what should i do? and how should i do it? to bleed it, ive been opening the valve, pressing the pedal, shutting the valve, lifting the pedal, and so on over and over. then i tried pushing the pedal, and opening and shutting the valve, then lifting the pedal, but that didnt help either. any ideas?

I'm guessing you bench bled the cylinder first?

Assuming you still have the M/C in the car, crack the hydraulic fluid pipe at the M/C so that air/fluid will leak out,put a rag or something around it to stop the fluid going on your paint, pump it a couple of times to get all the air out of the M/C,tighten up the joint, then bleed at the slave bleeder.

Bench bleed the master cylinder first with some back pressure. Use your finger to create back pressure. pump the clutch 5-10 times... hold down, open valve ... do that till you get some pressure built up, then do it one pump at a time. Hold clutch down open valve... close valve, release clutch.

Gotta have back pressure to start it all though.

um hook the fluid pipe/hose athe the closest spot to the M/C plug that with you finger off and on to bleed the M/C and create back pressure.
