Angry new clutch break in

Well I had a long story ready to be posted but my browser freaked out and shutoff, so I’ll make this short and simple

I bought a clutch off of eBay for 100$, put it in, drove on it for 2 weeks, I went to speed shift.... blah peddle dropped to the floor and couldn’t get it into gear, so yadda yadda yadda, I got the transmission apart and found out what happened, the clutch blew apart, well just the material, a piece got stuck in the press. plate and caused the shifting prob.

Moral of the story don’t by cheap crap, and get a warranty on your clutch lol

Here’s a picture of the old clutch.[SIZE=2]

Damn man, that sucks. Driving on it for two weeks, shifting at low RPM's should have broken it in, too. Guess you got some cheap Ebay crap, like you said.

With the ACT clutch I barely broke it in maybe 100 miles and I've been running it for almost 3 years with alot of launches at the track and it still clamps hard. It think its just from the cheap clutch parts. I would try something of better quality.

Yeah.
First prob. Ebay
Second prob knock off cheap part

You get what you pay for.
I recommend buying from Rx7store. Not only do you support this site but they are a reputable seller and the products are well known.
I'm currently using the Spec stage 2 clutch package.

Wow, that sucks. Yeah... I'd never want to go cheap with something like the clutch. I've got an ACT like the other guy, have had it a year, and it's still acting great

what was the e-bay sellers name and what is the brand of clutch? I just installed a $100 one from gripforce, the clutch was a seko or something along those lines. I hope that doesn't happen with all of them.
