Question New Clutch

A couple days ago i was driving down some back roads, not thrashing on it but when i shifted from 3rd to fourth it felt like the clutch went out. the peddle drops about 2 inches further to disengage now and it squeels like crazy so i figure it is the throw out berring. I ordered a centerforce dual friction and throw out berring that will be here tomorrow. I havent taken it to a mechanic yet because i plan on doing it myself but if anyone thinks it could be something other than the throw out berring please post a reply. And has anyone ever put a dual friction on the rx7 and how does it run, rough engagement or pretty smooth. It is an 87 non turbo. If anyone has some pointers for putting a clutch in it would be helpfull, have never done one and will be reading out of Haynes guide. thanks for any imput, response by tomorrow would help alot.

If the pedal is dropping check your fluid if it is low it could be a the line, slave, or master cylinder.

Fluid is full, besides i dont think that would make the screeching noise it has been. and when i am idling going into first, when i push the clutch in it will pull on the engine and without throttle it will stall.

Well one problem Ive found that its hard as hell to get the transmission aligned without pulling the engine back to angle it down towards the transmission. tried for 4 hours before doing that then it popped in no problem, no i just cant remember what bolt goes where...
