hi this is my first post on these forums and id like to say hi !
i just got my first rx7 today 800 the motor was taken apart and was not put back in i think there may have been a small electricle fire under the hood it was a write off i beleave frame is stright no dents or anything so im not sure why besides the fire .. if there was one i havnt took to close of look at it any suggestions as to what to look for and on puting it back togather i have no experiance with rotory so any help would be great thank you

 

there was a fire in the engine bay and it has no motor, and you paid $800, if it was written off that'll mean it has a salvage title also. I hope it has a fantastic body and interior. I think your biggest problem is going to be electrical, good luck.

 

yea i hope that body is amazing or else you got ripped off

your going to have a hayday with electrical

I would personally just buy one that runs but looks like **** and completely swap it over

it has the motor and the body is flawles interior is ok and from the looks of things it was very small fire like couple wires are burnt and such i hooked the batry up and no dash lights or park lights ? i step on the brake and the clock turns off ? keep in mind 800$ can for a turbo rx7 is un heard of where i am so i thought it was a deal but i got jipped i guess

 

Nah, don't fret about it. I'd venture a wager that a lot of us paid too much for our first one.
