New BOV question... NEED HELP!!!
i just went to try the stock open atmos. bov, and i noticed that my setup didnt look like the one in that article posted in teh other thread.(fc3s.org) Now if what im looking at isnt the bov, then please tell me this. But coming out of the intercooler into teh top of the turbo, there is a hose that turns 90 degrees into a little thing (what im pretty sure is the bov) that then goes into the TID. From this little thing (bov) there is another small tube that on my setup goes to a "T"... one part goes through the firewall... im assuming for the boost guage, and the other goes into what i believe is my upper intake manifold (it has like 4 tubes that goes up and around the injectors) Is there something wrong????
when i did what the article said, i didnt get any air flowing from my bov even with both adjustments wide open. I am also having an idle problem (fluctuating) if that makes it any easier.

first of all, its only been 30 mins!!!
secondly, take a fricken picture! a picture is worth a million words! If you dont got a camara, go to someplace like Comp USA and get one for free (they are pratically giving them away via rebates now adays!)

if you follow the hose marked w/ the red dots, it comes from the bov into a t (for the boost gauge) then goes into what i believe is my upper intake... is this setup correct, or is somethign f*cked up? also, y dont i get any air coming out of my bov if i take it out of the tid and plug the tid?

It looks like it's ran back into the turbo inlet duct, to get it to vent, you'd have to remove it, install a check valve on the end so it can't suck air in, and then plug the hole on the inlet duct. If you can't get any air this way, make sure the check valve is installed in the proper direction, and make sure the line it's hooked to is getting vacuum upon decel.

yah, thats a check valve.
A swing valve... Basically it's a brass valve that has a door that opens one way, but closes the other direction. (This prevents a huge vaccuum leak but allows for air to escape... BOV noise time) ID hose = basic heater hose. And by adapter I mean a male to male brass piece. This scews into one end of the valve, and the ID hose goes over the other end.

Well, most of the time you will hear it because so much pressure builds up inside the air intake piping and such, but the loudness will depend on how high you boost. I boost factory levels and it sounds awesome! I suggest you ziptie the finished product to an AC hardline like I did as to not let it bounch around..
Important thing to keep in mind is make sure everything is sealed right... no leaks. Leaks = loose pressure and the car dies... I had this happen on a turn once... power steering goes out, hold on for a rough ride.

that happened in my chevy blazer.... power brakes went out too.... that was a real rough ride

one more question... i have a cheap boost controller.... if i simply just open it up all the way, that will turn me back to stock boost... right????
