Hello I just bought my first RX7 (86 13b) and I am wondering whats the best way to get started boosting the performance. Iv been around cars ever since I was a kid but I never really heard much about what to do to the RX7s

 

Is it the turbo model or non turbo?

1. Better rubber and brakes. Slow before go.

i started with an exhaust and next im looking at an Exedy lightweight flywheel to put more power down to the wheels.

 

I know the tune up deal do it everytime I buy a car.
The brakes yea they are metal to metal just havnt had time to put the new pads in(bought it that way been driving it like that for a week), looking for a cheap set of rotors too, im sure their junk look like they might be factory (still got screws holding them to the wheel bearing).
Allready know what I want to do to the exaust, hack the cats, put on a header, and leave the mufflers on supposedly you get flames out the tips at 6.5 grand (or so I was told).
I will be getting rid of the air pump, air conditioning, and if I have it power steering, dont recall off hand.
Im wondering more like what can you do to get more power, heard a lot about porting but you need some sort of refrence plate or something? also someone said something about a larger throttle body what do you get that off? One last thing my oxegen sensor wire is hanging in space what all does the o2 sensor control? Cause I know my other cars the wont run with out it but the RX7 is running fine.
