The left opening for the intercooler, is that for the standard intercooler that is normally located on top of the engine?
Otherwise not to bad.

Why does it look so wide?
And are those 4 round lights the turn signals? Cause that looks pretty cool.

I'd be tempted to enlarge the FTP opening & go for the 4 light mod at the same time. Taking out the popup stuff gives more room for IC piping.

It looks ok from all those views but i think the bottom is way too wide..Can you take some pics of the bottom bumper standing from the door???...i want to see how much it sticks out...I have seen HONDA/INTEGRA with aftermarket bumpers that sticks out too much and they are irritating...

no i have a FMIC with core size of 16inch long, 12 inch high which fits between the chassis rail and the bumper, it means i still get heaps of unrestricted flow to the radiator.

be simply getting creative with the radiator mounting you can have good IC piping and pop ups, i will shift the radiator mounts to sit slightly lower and alot more vertical, this allows me to run the turbo to ic pipe around in front of the radiator, then the ic to TB pipe goes straight back off the ic and comes thru that big hole in front of the LF wheel arch then straight across into the TB Elbow

Now i'll tell ya's that that cost me:
4 FTP lights from honda civic - $5 each
2 small tins of NEWTECH panel repair agent $20 each
3 sheets of sand paper $2.50 each

grand total of $67.50NZ = $27US

the bottom part if from a 1989 E33A Mitsubishi Galant which was damaged to the extent we couldn't sell it so i got it for free, the top half is from a nosecone i had sitting around with a damaged lower half

for $27US - who cares???????

this pic gives an idea of the size of the intercooler and where it will sit

the bottom of the intercooler sits level with the bottom of the front panel/bumper

HWO, nice man. $27nz, i am ******* jealous. i was totally ripped off with my own custom frontbar. u've gone about it totally the right way, on the cheap, and just as good.

hindsight being 20/20, i would rather i had've bought a slightly smaller IC, repositioned the radiator, so that the piping would basically run straight from the turbo to the IC, between the nice large gap left by moving the radiator, then straight from the IC, up & around into the inlet manifold. As short as possible, nice & neat, little lag as possible.

the lag with this setup is noticeable;

how large is your IC core? how much did that set u back?

Later,
Perry Gehenna

I have a few ideas for some spare front ends and fiberglass work when the time comes *cue evil laugh*
I think they should be nice looking, and have very functional intakes.

It should look nice once you paint it and maybe put some mesh in it or something, by the way, what size tires to you have under those wheel well? They look pretty wide.

for track use
my slicks are 210 16's they work out to be the same width as approx 255's, they are mounted on 16x8's on the back and 16x7's on the front

The only bends i have between the turbo and the IS is one 50 degree bend as it kinks round to go infront of the radiator i dont need to run a great snail like thing like in the pic you have shown. in the piping from the FMIC to the TB i have 2 x 90 degree elbows, they just get the piping into the enging bay to where it goes straight into the TB Elbow.

the core is 40cm x 30cm core was $450NZ/$360AUS/$185US custom end tanks were $150NZ/$120AUS/$60US

Also with a T04 with a 60-1 compressor on the front of it blowing around 500HP worth of air the lag won't be much different :P
