I can go both ways. The Open pipe exhausts make the car really loud but the rotary sound is like sex for the ears while the RB brings the noise down to acceptable levels.

id normally just skip this without posting.. but not more then an hour ago.. while zigzaggin thru traffic, i punched the throttle and thought "man am i glad i got this exhaust.. what a badass sound"

Accepting the Racing Beat true duals are best, should we replace the stock mufflers as well? (probably yes)

It's a bit expensive but it's also high quality. The exhaust is the place to start if you want to make more power on a rotary so you should get something good and not a autozone glass packed muffler.
I wouldn't get an auto zone muff.. not when someone gave me a magnaflow catback.
Either way, it doesn't come with it, its optional.
Their true dual exhaust system the ending is optional to leave the stock on ($90) or pay for mufflers (an extra $250 a piece (don't quote I'm not on the site aynmore))

anywho, I do enjoy hearing the racing beat exhaust on any rotary engine, however, myself I have the Apex'i GT and I LOVE it! super nice tone, flows fantastic, and not loud at all (which is completely contrary to what every website says...) so either the RB or Apexi GT, or (i think) the Greddy system, but im not sure of the name, and have no idea on performance, it just looks cool.

and i personly just have stock header to stright pipe no cats to my muff's
thats what I'm going to do. Leave the stock header on, junk the cat and go straight to the Magnaflow I got.

I heard the cat's can have a lot of carbon buildup in them and be very restrictive to the flow. Any truth in that ? I can imagine so because of the excess fuel the rotary engine puts out.
