New to 7's but learning fast... post me some tips

hey guys im new to 7's and this site.... always have been my favorite car but when i was lookin for a car i couldnt find anything... so i got real big in to nissans (240) specifically.... rwd and driftin power is always something to love... and the best thing to love is watching them v8's get blown by a 4cylinder, i just totaled my 240 though by a lady that didnt have insurance so i started lookin for 240 supras and rx7's found a FC my favorite model and talked it out with the guys and got it and it looks really clean with a nw clutch exaust and 40k mile motor(with receit) ..... its GXL so its NA but it has custom intake.... ordered piping online and hooked it up..... ported out exaust ports myself with my drimmel tool..... put on set of headers to a highflow cat and resinator with 2 1/4 piping....... any more suggestions on wat to do would be loved.... but i went from knows alot about cylinder motors tback to step one on learning new things but its going ok ... just dont know much about how to get power out of a rotary except turbo and i dont have the money for an expensive turbo and the set up and especially not enough for a new essentric shaft with a new rotor to slap on... so in minor adjustment i would take and probably use...... OR IF ANYONE HAS TII FULL STOCK SET UP I WOULD LOVE TO NEGOTIATE ON BUYING........ i would have to wait til summer to pay for it... i graduate highschool this year and dont start back to my auto tech classes til fall so ill have time to work and do some major mods over summer...... so any tips feel free or any turbo set-ups anyone wants to get rid of please let me know

now we aint talkin about majorly done v8's we talkin about close to stock or mayb a few stuff done...... but the guys that have raced these v8's know wat im talkin bout.. the big headed guys that think its impossible for any 4cylinder to beat a v8..... sry im here to tell u its possible..... where theres a will theres a way and all imports have the will and efinately the way.... (except civics) but all it takes to beat a stock gt is simpley exaust headers cold air intake and for u that didnt know in a 95 ka24de..... the cams have a 37 degree low lift than in the 91-94(s13) which means bargining with someone with an s13 cam u can do that same with that as in a aftermarket cam and come out doin pretty good ..... and then buyings lsd out of a 300zx(non turbo) out of a junk yards... change flanges and slips right in a bolts up or order lsd from japan out of silvia.... short shifter(not like it matters to much) ... easily pulls 9's and stock gt oulls no more than 9.5's .... but ive never seen a stock one pull past a 9.7

no one said nething bout a turbo thougnh... but that was the plan before it got totalled.... ka with the iron block have much stronger potential and torque than sr20 and i saw sr20 a waste of money so i was planning on tubo ka until it got totaled..... so the 7 is now my new baby and goin pretty good on learning about it

I was thinking the same thing. But,a turbo would level things up. He didnt say anything about a turbo though.

the ka24det is not a bad unit, but i seen a 2.2 out of a cavy put on a new vett with just a little boost if u want some power out of a nissan go sr20det or 16vet both of them anit bad if u really want nasty go rb25 or if u have a fat wade of cash rb26dett. that wut i no about but i perfer rotors over any piston ive seen what happen to rods with a few to many r's. i will never give up a rotary drifter for anything.

Wow. That kinda sux. My wifes stang runs somewhere around that with only 289 all motor horsepower. It also weighs more than that 240. The rx7 is a much better car than the nissan. Just my 2 cents.

ok well if you want to go FMIC, its going to cost you alot more than just picking up a $40 stock TMIC, soo just pick that up for now, you can always resell it.
