check your battery cable connections. if they have ANYTHING on them clean them off with a paste made of baking soda and water. Coat the battery cable terminals and the battery terminals with vaseline and they wont get dirty again.

There's only one saftey INTERLOCK SWITCH and you jumpered it already. No click? The click is the starter solenoid trying to engage. If you have no click now you've got to determine if the small wire on the solenoid is getting 12v when the key goes to START. Either put a meter on that wire and watch the meter as you put the key to START. Or another way is on a car without theft protection...you will find a BLUE jumper on a plug under/nearby the Trail coil assy. Pull the BLUE jumper off and put a meter on the green/black wire that is being jumpered by the blue plug. Go to start and see if 12v shows up on that green/black wire. If it shows up, then the interlock switch/jury rig is working and the starter is at fault. And while your there at that blue plug...jumper 12v from the battery to the black/white wire in the plug (the black/white that was being jumpered by the BLUE jumper plug. If you jumper the black/white the starter should turn over.
