Exclamation Nervous handling!

I have been having some issues with my current FC's handling. I would describe it as the car feeling 'nervous. At speeds above 50 mph the tends to wander around and when I hit a bump it feels likes it saying left to right! like it's steering left to right, not rocking/tipping mind you.

I tried a few things to remedy it. First I put ona rear cusco strut bar. This actually worsened the issue! The car does corner nice, but tracking straight is another matter and hitting a bump mid-corner makes the car feel 'loose' and nervous. The problem is exaggerated with my 17" wheels on instead of the stocker 15" wheels.

Then I put some new KYB struts on and Suspension Techniques lowering springs. This did make the car feel decidedly better, but the issue remained though ever-so-slightly to a lesser extent.

SO my Ideas next to work on is to change the rear DTSS bushings out for DTSS eliminator bushings to help the steering wander along with front outer tie-rod ends. And if that doesn't work a new Racing Beat rear sway bar, since the car seems to sway.

Am I on the right track here or does anyone have a "silver bullet" for my problem? Maybe just a new ES master Bushing set? I need some help here to get this thing driving great so I can track it soon!

oh yeah, it's 1990 GXL with 142k on the odo.

Do an alignment, then look at the print out and make sure all your camber and toe stuff is up to spec. Kindly as the techs if anything seemed really off.

Ever had an accident?

I would suggest simply getting an alignment first. If everything is aligned correctly I would check the bushings for the rear suspension next.

Steering U joints and tie rods would be the first place for me to look.

Could this be because of your accident?

This is a new FC I bought https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=617782Accidents. At least not any I was told about, but Dre_2ooo is pretty honest.

The tires are Falken GRB FK451. about 3-4 years old now and 80% tread. not alot of miles on the tires and they're summer tires only. 17x7.5 fronts 17x8.5 rears. So I anticipate more road rut grabbing occurring from the wider tires, but the issue remains with the narrower wheels as well.

So I'll go get an alignment tomorrow then and ask them to look closely for anything weird about it. The alignment is off a bit too since the wheel is turn slightly right to track straight.

I'd wager your toe settings are whacked out.
