With the guy above ...........and................the catalytic converter, if installed, will clog up in the near future if you don't have a airpump and working ACV. Near term defined as within a year. That's just a guess on the time line.
About the hose. The one that fed air to the pump should be capped/plugged. The one that fed air to the ACV does not HAVE to be capped or plugged, but it's always a good idea to do so to keep FOD out. The ACV has zip to do with the running of the engine, except in a very minor way during deceleration when the anti afterburn valve in the ACV opens for a moment or two.

thanks for all your help so far.
so i took it for a drive + i noticed a few things....
first of it seems like the engine revs more freely now. its like the engine is freed up without the pump on there or something.
second thing i noticed is that it smokes constantly now. it was a bit worse when it started up cold, then never got better when it was all the way warm. it only used to smoke when it was cold.
i didn't drive it past 3.5k or so, so i don't know about how it would work when the aux ports should be opened.

I wouldn't recommend it. Yes, your car will run fine but your performance will suffer. Ive got a 90' GXL NA with minor mods and ran against a GTU NA with the air pump removed. We both have nearly the same mods but he got taken when we raced. Considering he even has the 4:30's I was thinking it was going to be closer than it was!

yeah. so when i was trying to put my **** back together, another part broke :/
it started when the top bracket broke off for the air pump. i ended up taking that off + trying some JB weld on it as a temp fix. i was putting it back on tonight when the bolt i had for the power steering belt tensioner broke off. this sucks *** cause i have some toyo 245's on there. it broke once before + i had to drive around like that + parking sucked! so now i have the air pump back on + its loose as hell, but its on there. hopefully my part will come soon :/
