In need on the waterpump pulley studs!

I need the waterpump s5 pulley studs! When whoever converted everything to electric fan they pulled out the studs. Now I put the stock fan & shroud on and the pulley won't align correctly causing vibration. Please anyone who has them or knows where I can get them please pm me!

The studs are 6mm x 1.0 and you can get them at Ace Hardware.

And, just FYI...
The fan clutch centers on the snout of the waterpump, not the studs.
The studs just hold it down, so you should be able to use bolts if you want without any balance issues.

Thanks! I kinda figured I could just get them at a hardware store. But I wasn't sure the size. Thanks

Yea I have to take a better look. I loosened the pulley bolts realizing that that's not needed. Not seeing the studs confused me for a second... So I tried to line the pulley back up to the old bolt marks. Bolted the fan down. Shook after 25+ mph. Realigned the pulley again now shakes at 60+ mph. I don't understand why the pulley has so much play in it with the bolts in not tight.

You don't have a broken fan blade by chance?

Nope... I checked it out pretty good before installing. The pulley and waterpump surface are both flat. With the pulley loose it "wiggles" around the bolt holes. What the heck aligns the 2 together?

the S4 and S5's have different size centers, so if you mix and match, you'll have lots of play

Bingo that's it. There is to much gap around the waterpumps center and the pulley. Damn. It's an s5 waterpump so I guess they put on the s4 pulley. ***Well new topic: s5 waterpump pulley needed ASAP!!!

the fan is different. the pulley should be ok with just the bolts/studs, but the fan wont

The pulley is the problem. It doesn't fit on the waterpump center tightly. It wiggles around and it's a royal pain to get it perfect. the fan fits fine.

Here is the problem I'm talkin about. Look at the gap between the waterpump center and the pulley's hole.

Use the S4 pulley with the S4 pump.
Use the S5 pulley with the S5 pump.
Problem solved.

That is the snarky, elitist response and is of course, entirely correct.
I'm assuming though that you don't have a ready supply of pulleys/pumps at hand.

It may be possible (and I emphasize the probability of failure) to trick the pulley into centering by wrapping the pump snout with a few layers of electrical tape.
Remember, the original factory pulley>hub fit was hardly precision ground, so there's wiggle room in your fitup.
Might take more than one attempt because you can only test by full assembly, but it could actually work.

Yup I need a new pulley... Does anyone know which of the 2 (s4 or s5) has the bigger center hole on the pulley so I can determine which pulley I have.
