Question Need TII for my 86 N/A....

Hello everyone...Look I have an 86 N/A and I am wanting to do an engine swap for this car...I am looking at the 13bt..If you guys will tell me a little about what is involved with doing this swap...Where I can get a reliable engine with the turbo for the cheapest price...Looking to spend around 1000 dollars give or take a little...I have a Bonez Air intake on there now..I just want that turbo power...Also is this swap worth it or could I just rebuild my n/a and do a little engine work to get it to run just as good as the turbo model...Please leave me some feedback...Thank you...

i would say search, but that would be the trendy (and maybe the proper) thing to tell you. you will need at least the engine, ECU, harness, N/A flywheel and the TII counterbalencers, (that is if you are going to use the N/A transmission). Most people would tell you to sell your car and get a TII. I hate buying and selling cars so i would probably do the swap. I have an 88GTU im about to do some sort of swap on bc the ******* damn rear rotor decided to kiss the apex seals good bye. Well man, i hope this helps, talk to Felix Wankel i think it is, he'll throw you in the right direction. Good luck my freind

I'd be one of those people. Buying and selling a car is WAY easier and cheaper than doing this. It's NOT just a simple engine swap, especially if you do it properly so it'll last.

I'd say it depends on how you like the car in general Not all sevens are the same.. IMO they are every single one different.. Different characteristics... everything... If you truely enjoyed cruising in yer seven when it ran and you have another car you can drive while you do the swap (cuz it will take a good amount of time Then I say go for it! (if you don't mind dishing out some doe.... )

When I do rebuilds, I buy all new parts.,.. and that gets expensive as hell... but that's me!

I just rebuilt my 86 Base N/A , And I plan on replacing rear end and driveshaft... , Wheel lugs, all that jazz and pretty much transform it into a TII Over the years hopefully... I really want to rebuild a tranny.... Best way to learn about it.. pictures just aren't enough... So that will be gobs of fun!
