Lightbulb Need suggestion on my planning

I decided to restore my 87 TII from the ground up and here are the steps. Please put some insight or experience so that I could plan this out without mistake. Thanks.

What I have now:
87 TII
Fcon with GCC
HKS timer
HKS modifed downpipe and exhaust (no cat)
Black paint by previous owner (but paint around the sticker)
89 tail light
17x7.5 volk SE37K and 17x9 in bronze
HKS intake
Red Recaro SRIII seat (drive side only)
RB strut tower bar
96k miles on the clock

What planned to do:
Rebuild motor w/ 3mm apex seal, street ported
Haltech e6k
T04 exhaust manifold w/ external wastegate
T04R turbo
Fuel system upgrade
Tein suspension (used, auction from Japan)
Suspension bracing
Repaint w/o sticker
89-91 front and rear bumper and all side moldings
Front lip spoiler
Interior upgrade w/ super-suede (I think I have the right name)
Leather seat for passenger
Some audio upgrade (not heavy)
New Greddy FMIC

One general question, should I rebuild a serie 5 Jspec motor (I heard that is stronger, closer to the FD)? Or, rebuild the one I have and less OMP problem?

Any suggestion will be appreicated. Thanks.

In my mind a ground up restore includes removing everything off the body to a bare hull. Totally strip that of paint and undercoating and start from there. The interior and engine sounds good to me mut you have to remember the first thing anyone will see is the paint job.
