need speed signal

so got the avcr all pluged in workin nice nice
problem is it needs to connect to a speed signal..
problem is, from the way it looks on the almighty manual, the only things that carry the speed signal, to tap into any way are the:
cruz
a/t controll
or p/s

my car has none....

i guess my question is, are there any harnesses, wires or anything to tap into that give a constant speed signal? i called apex'i and they translated to burried FAQ from japan that said something about a cruise controll coupler

any ideas? need help last step and my babies all done,... for now lol

thanks

The harnesses are still there for the Cruise Control and Power steering, even if your car does not have it.

You can pick up the speed signal at all those plugs as well at the back of the gauge cluster.

I believe the speed signal travels out to the modules through these plugs from the cluster, because the speedo cable goes into that. So the signal should be present at each connector for the modules to read. The pin for the power steering unit would probably easier to reach if your dash isn't disassembled already.

The speed signal comes into the ps connector on a blue wire with a white stripe on it and red dots, third from the right on top if you are looking at the plug with the polarity blank on top.
