i just bought a new pioneer deh-p6300 cd player head unit to replace my broken jvc. like 2 months ago i took out the old hu and tomorrow i want to put the new one in. i need to know what wires are which on the stock mazda wiring harness, i need to know ground\battery\accessory\and dimmer, i am running new speaker wire. thanx

ground is to the chassis doesnt matter as long as its the chassis not a piece of metal, battery is battery plan and simple should wire in a fuse though. accessory use a multi meter and turn your key and find the ignition wire, not too hard. dont understand the dimmer part though unless its a really new stereo where you can dim it down dont know why you would **** with that

 

actually some stereo's have alarm systems built in them that run through the dome light..... such as the pioneer one i have... so when you open the door and the light goes on, the alarm is activated...
