hey guys , I'm wondering which is best for my set up . I had a 87 T II which I just wrecked in the wall n a recient local race and was switching everything I could into a 90 GTU body , and I found out that the front the Tie ends where alot different between these years . The Turbo cars have a solid piece of steel with 2 eyelets between the sway bar and the front mound , but the 90 GTU has a 2 thin pieces of steel between a piece of rubber . I was thinkning that the 90 GTU would probably have a better system than I found . I know the turbo cars have been set up with beefier everything , but I figured that a 90 GTU would be more updated than a 87 Turbo . Which do you guys suggest for a 1/4 mile oval track ???

Switch everything in the rear over. You're gonna need that beefed up rear cradle. Let me know if you need any help. I've helped Matt (Randy's bro) take out 2 of the cradles.

 

THE REAR END JUST GOT AN OVER HAUL , POLLY BUSHINGS EVERYWHERE , i GUESS MY QUESTION WAS ABOUT THE FRONT END . iVE GOT HE BUSHINGS BUT MY MAIN CONCERN WAAS THE TIE ENDS IN THE FRONT THEY LOOK SO WEAK ????

 

Your "90 GTU" is a base model.
It has smaller bars.

I know that, I was thinking that over a 3 - 4 yr difference they would have come up with something a little better .

they also did minor changes to the fornt end from series 4 to 5 on they way the sway mounts and the dog bones. that could be it. also the turbos have bigger sway bars than the gtu hope that helps
