need some info

so im looking to by a 90 turbo 2 . problem: when it warms up it smokes very badly. he says its oil sending in the housing. how much will it be to fix? any thing will help thank you.

If it's blue smoke he is correct, it's oil, but the question is what is wrong. Could be bad oil control seals, or the turbo can be shot. If it's the turbo you can that one rebuilt, or get a used one. If the seals, and the smokes quite a lot, might be time for a rebuild. Used turbo @$200. Rebuilt engine $600 to $3000, depending on what is needed and who does the job etc.

Yea, you can do a quick check by pulling off the turbine outlet-intercooler hose and checking it for oil. If the seal is bad on the turbo, oil will come out the turbine and the turbo side.
