Question Need some ideas for some new wheels!

When my '91 RX-7 arrives, I'm most likely going to want some new wheels -- As you can see on the webpage in my signature, http://www.cardomain.com/id/driv300mph, the rims are bone stock, and it would really make a big difference in the looks department -- should I go 17s or 18s? Any ideas would be appreciated.. thanks!

id stick with smaller wheels... the bigger the go the heavier they are, and the slower your car will go... i personaly really like the wheels on my vert, and i probably wont ever change them... im preety sure they are the lightest wheels on any of the rx7's, and can be had used on ebay for around 300 for a set of them

its already a really nice condition car that you bought, so i dont think it needs much in the looks dept

I know it looks great already -- but I'm saying that the only thing that it could really use are some better looking rims... they are the style that was used 12yrs ago!! I'm looking for some nice 5 or 6 spoke with fairly thin spokes, compared to the thickness of the "spokes" in my wheels... know what I'm sayin'?

some of the newer style bbs rims, in the gun metal look really nice... kinda like a moddified version of the bbs wheels on the vert... less spokes, they are a little bigger, and look really nice imo

if I were getting new wheels, I'd get 16 or 17. they are light, wide, and have a nice lip. they give you a fairly low profile tire, while maintaining a light weight. plus, I think its the best looking size as well. sometimes however, 17's look pretty damn good as well.

18's would just be dumb. you'd have trouble fitting them, and end up going with like a 7 inch wide wheel, which would suck for aftermarket wheels.

do you like these? they kind of match what you described:

oh, and they have a combo package of 17x8 and 17x9 with tires for $1215

Your car looks like my car. Same rims and everything except I did not get the racing beat catbacks yet. Check my sig for pictures.

go with 17x7's and 40 series rubber. It fits nice but you'll need to lower the car as well or it will look like ***.
Depending on what you wanna spend, rh evolution C2's are badass.

so then you'd have like a 205/40 tire? that would suck to have that low of profile. any somewhat decent bump, and there go your new rims not to mention that low of tire looks like *** IMHO

why not go wider to get better traction ? not to mention better looks from behind. 245's in back looks sooooooooooo sweet!!
