Well someone up the street is selling an 88 n/a 5spd for about $400 he will go lower, i want the tranny, the engine and many other parts. It has a blown engine witch i could take a few weeks and go over a few times and build it into a bullet proof engine, so is that amount of money worth it or should i get him to got down alot more?

Depends... You can probably talk him lower. If the body, paint, and interior is in great shape, go for it.

 

first try to talk him down because he will more than likely budge. If it's in as good as condition as i'm thinking it is in then i'd go for it.

 

Just start picking at it in front of him out loud making sure to point out every little problem and make sure to say the motor is blown a whole bunch, and point out how much it will cost to rebuild it and all that bull. Then Jew him down.
