i just got a mazdaspeed cone filter for my 89 gxl. my question is how do you install the thing. do i take anything off or add something? please help!!!!

ok i got my car started, i just need to know how to install the cone filter. i'm just not sure what to do with the air meter and the air pump hose. please any info would help.

 

for ur air pump hose, just put one of those air breather filter on it... for ur afm u need the airfilter adapter it should bolt right up to your afm and u can hook up teh filter done and done.. i hope that helps

I think your thinking of an S4.. where they sell adapters that bolt onto it.

If its the cone style round AFM. what i did i just took my filter it had the plastic peice with a hoseclamp, i just hoseclamped it on.

I dont think there are any adapters for the S5's somebody correct me if im wrong.
